VidSave ("we", "our", "us") is a video downloader application for Android that lets you download video and audio content from your favorite social apps and websites (YouTube is not supported). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy — VidSave does not collect, sell, or share your personal data, beyond the minimum needed to fetch the content you request, as described below.
VidSave does not require an account and does not collect or store personal profile data on our servers. Everything except the link-resolving step below stays on your device.
- The video/audio link you paste or share into the app is sent to our resolving servers (see "Third-Party Services" below) solely to fetch the downloadable file — it is not stored after the request completes and is not linked to your identity
- App usage data (screens viewed, downloads started/completed, ads shown, purchases made) is collected via Google Firebase Analytics to help us understand feature usage and fix problems — see "Third-Party Services" below
- Download history is stored locally on your device only
- App preferences (dark mode, language, save folder) are stored locally
- No account or registration required
- We do not collect your name, email, or location
- Internet — to fetch and download videos
- Storage — to save downloaded files to your device
- Notifications — to show download progress
- Biometric — optional app lock (only if enabled by you)
- Network State — to detect internet connectivity
VidSave uses these third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
AdMob and its mediation partners (Yandex Mobile Ads, Meta Audience Network) may collect device and advertising identifiers, IP address, and app interaction data to serve and measure ads. You can opt out of personalized ads via your device's ad settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization. You can also manage Meta's ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences.
- Payments processed securely by Google Play — we never see your payment info
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Cancel anytime via Google Play → My Subscriptions
- Premium status verified through Google Play Billing API
VidSave is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us immediately.
VidSave does not transmit your personal profile data (name, email, location, contacts, etc.) to external servers. The only data sent out is the link you submit for download, transmitted over secure HTTPS to our resolving servers described above, solely to fetch your requested content. Downloaded files are stored in the folder you select on your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of VidSave after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
